The 1000mm track gauge ballast wagon is designed for customers in Southeast Asia and African countries whose railway lines are 1000mm wide. It is mainly used to transport ballast for railway construction or maintenance.
Ballast is loaded from above and unloaded from below, using gravity to unload. It has a manual unloading mechanism and the opening and closing of the lower doors is carried out by turning the transmission steering wheel. The entire ballast car is equipped with four lower doors for off-track unloading.
The meter gauge ballast wagon essentially consists of the chassis, the ballast unloading device, the braking system, the coupling and damping system and the bogie.
Chassis:
The chassis is a welded steel structure without intermediate beams, consisting of chassis, side walls, end walls, funnels, etc.

Ballast discharge system:
The railcar's ballast unloading system consists of a manual control device and a transmission device. There are four (4) lower doors for. The lower doors are controlled separately by two reducers.
Hopper wagon's air brake system:
The braking system complies with Chinese railway standards, mainly composed of 120 control valve, auxiliary air cylinder, brake cylinder, brake regulator, angle cock, etc. The hand brake device adopts a chain hand wheel operated hand brake.
The bogie is a three-part bogie with control suspension made of cast steel, which has a controlled inclined wedge damping device. The main components include wheel set assembly, amplifier assembly, side frame assembly, bearing assembly, bearing adapter, base brake device, bearing spring, wedge vibration reduction, lower side bearing and other components. The performance of the bogie meets the rating requirements of GB/T5599 and the strength design meets the requirements of TB/T1335.
